The hotel is part of the Royal Demeure
Group, the décor tasteful and typical old Italian
style – antique furniture, old masters paintings on
the walls, statues in the corridors, crystal chandeliers,
the hotel staff very friendly but respectful, 5 star service
& food and spotless in every respect. The Helvetia is
situated in the historical centre of the city, i.e. Via
dei Prozzi / Via dei Pescioni, overlooking Piazza della
Signoria and close to the Uffizi Art Galleries, the Piazza
Del Duomo where there is the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral,
an awesome sight outside and inside, one has to personally
see it to appreciate the beauty of the art (painted ceiling
of the dome all gilded), the sculptures, statues, the exterior
made of white, green and black marble. The Helvetia also
